Anxiety Strikes...

I realize that in the state I'm in (9 months pregnant), I should be doing nothing more at 5am than sleeping! Well, since about the 2nd month of my pregnancy, I have had something I could never imagine before I got pregnant...INSOMNIA! Not only do I wake up a million times a night to pee, when I do, I can't go back to sleep. It seems that Gage has other plans for me, and he is apparently trying to get practiced up to play Kickball with his friends! I'm telling you now, he's going to be a handful, and probably going to give Michael and I a run for our money! When I woke up earlier I couldn't help but start thinking about what is about to happen in my life. I am only weeks away from embarking on the journey we all like to call...Parenthood! I have shared this wonderful time in my life with several friends who are also pregnant, and for the most part only a few weeks further along than me. Three of the them have had their babies (as of yesterday) and now there are only two of us left. When I went to the hospital last night to visit Paige, I realized that my time was coming, and coming fast! For the next 5 weeks...or less...I will spend the majority of my time wondering if this will be the day! Honestly, I cannot wait! I feel like I have waited so long to see his little face and I still have so long until I do! I know that 5 weeks is only a short time, but if you are a mother, you understand how I'm feeling! Will it ever get here? As I laid in bed earlier, watching the ceiling fan spin, I started thinking about the next few weeks. How will it happen? When will be the day? Who will be there when he's born? Will it be everything I hope it will be? Although I can't answer any of these questions now, I wish I could.

I think about what kind of mother I will be, and I find myself hoping that I will be the same kind of mother that Mom has been to me. How could anyone possibly be any better? I see families every day that haven't been so blessed, and it breaks my heart for them. Never one time in my life have I ever doubted my mother's love for me and I can only pray that I will have the same effect on my children. I know Gage is going to love MeMe with all his heart and I am so thankful for her!

I think about how I can't wait to see Michael be a Daddy! There aren't enough words to express how lucky I am to have such a WONDERFUL man to spend my life with! I thank God every day for the way his parents raised him to be the man he is! I will forever be thankful for both of them! I remember when I met Michael (we were only friends at this point, and I mean best friends) I would go to his house every day and as the night went on, we always ended up in the garage talking. His house was always full of people, but they were easily ignored...it was way more important that we get all the world problems solved ;) Needless to say, we are still working on that! He told me one day that he had come to realize that he would probably never get married and have his own children, and that this was something he only wished he could change. I sat there that day with tears in my eyes thinking how sad it must be to have those feeling at such a young age. At the time he was about to turn 29, and I had just turned 22, and I never dreamed I would be sitting here today talking about how he is going to be as the father of my child. Obviously, neither did he. I think it is safe to say that God has a funny way of leading us to the one person He made for us, even if it is the last thing we expected. I know Michael is going to be such a wonderful Daddy, and I cannot wait to see it! I can't wait to see the look in his eyes the day Gage is born or the expression on his face the first time he gets to hold him! What a wonderful day it will be!!

At a young age I decided that one thing I wanted in life was to have children before any of my grandparents passed away. Not very often do I meet someone who is 24 years old and still has 5 living grandparents. I have 2 grandmothers, 2 grandfathers, and 1 Great Grandmother, all of which I am very close to! Last night my Dad called me to let me know that Granny Lou (my great grandmother) was not doing well, and I should probably make a point to got visit her. She has developed dementia and her mind isn't working the way it once did. I am absolutely heartbroken to know that her time is limited here and that she may not make it to meet her first born Great Great Grandchild. Although, if she does, Gage will be a 5th Generation and that isn't something you hear of everyday either. I know that Granny is ready to go Home, even though I can't stand the thought of life without her. She has been such an inspiration to me, and for that I cannot be more grateful! As for the other 4 grandparents, they are doing great, and waiting paitently on the arrival of their first born Great Grandchild! I have never seen anyone more excited about a baby than my Nana (my Mom's Mom). I have always been very close to her and we seem to have gotten much closer in the last 9 months. Hardly a day goes by that she doesn't call to check on me and make sure I'm still feeling well! I think she is anticipating me telling her "today is the day"! It won't be too long Nana...Love you!

*This is Granny Lou and I at my wedding in May! Isn't she such a sweet lady?

Now that I have sat at my computer for 2 hours too long, I think it is time for me to get snuggled back up in bed and try to get some rest! I think it is pretty safe to say that the "anxiety" everyone keeps telling me about has finally hit! I hope you haven't cried as many tears as I have, and if you have, I'm sorry! I'll try to make it a happier post next time around!

Prenatal Class!

Michael and I went to our last prenatal class tonight! It wasn't really at all what I expected, but it went well anyway! We watched a video of an actual childbirth and I'm not so sure Michael knew what to think. He just kept saying "Oh no"! I thought he was a trooper though. Hopefully he will be when the time actually comes!

I have started having some mild contractions these last couple of days. They are nothing terrible, and for the most part, they don't hurt at all. They have been pretty uncomfortable though. I asked our instructor about them tonight and she said that it probably means Gage is trying to get himself ready to make his appearance in the next few weeks. I only have about 5 1/2 weeks until my due date, so she is probably right! I guess we will see here pretty soon! I got all of his bags packed last night, and I am going to start working on getting mine packed within the next couple of days. I am absolutely paranoid about not being prepared for the hospital when the time comes to head that direction. I guess it is a good thing we don't live far from the hospital in case I forget something ;)

The Bachelor...week 4!

Well, I don't really have much to say about The Bachelor this week except that I was really excited about his choice to send so many of the girls home. Some of them are obviously not there for the right reasons AT ALL! Melissa is still my favorite, but honestly, I like all of the girls that are left for one reason or another! I can't wait until next week!!

Date Night!

Michael and I decided when we found out we were expecting that we were going to make it a point to have Date Night at least twice a month. Well...we haven't! Don't get me wrong, we go out to eat all of the time, but never by ourselves. We always bring friends with us which is good too! I think the last time we had an actual "date" alone was when I was about 17 weeks preggo and we went to Gaucho's. Last night we decided that since our friends were out of commission, we would have our date night. Possibly the last one before Gage gets here...not much time left, you know! We went to eat at Macaroni Grill, and it was FABULOUS!! I just love the lasagna there, and the bread can't be beat! We had a really good time on our date, but I forgot to get a picture, and I just hate that! Maybe next time! We are going to attempt to do better at going on our Date Night, but who know what's in store!

On another note, here is my 34 week picture. I think I look a little large, but hopefully it's just fluid ;) That's what I'm going with anyway! Less than 6 weeks and our precious little boy will be here! I can't wait to get my hands on him, but until then I'll just keep them on that sweet little nephew of ours! Gosh...he's a doll!

I'll be packing our bags for the hospital pretty soon, so if anyone has any last minute suggestions on what we will need, I would greatly appreciate it!

My First Book!

Ok so not literally my "first" book, but I certainly haven't read many! I just simply hate to read...until now! My sister-in-law told me about this book several months ago when we first found out we were pregnant. She already had 2 kids and had read the book, but she was buying it to read again before the new baby came! She told me it was the most hilarious book, and she was right. I borrowed the book from her last week sometime so I decided yesterday to start reading it...I have already read half of it! Not like me AT ALL! This book is so funny, but yet, informative! If any of you preggo mamas are looking for a good book to read, this is the one! If you decide to read it, let me know what you think!

There are also several others that I will be reading when the baby is born:
*Girlfriends Guide to Surviving the First Year of Motherhood
*Girlfriends Guide to Toddlers
*Girlfriends Guide to Getting Your Groove Back
*Girlfriends Guide to Baby Gear
Has anyone ever read these books?

Finally...a post!

As you can tell, I have not been doing to well at blogging lately! I missed my Bachelor Recap on Monday and there are several other things I have missed throughout the last week or so. Maybe I can get them all covered today!

The Bachelor...week 3!
So, what did you think of the Bachelor? I'm sure you already know that I was happy about Erica going home. I think she was a bit of a trouble maker...to say the least! She really showed him her true colors at the rose ceremony without even trying I think. I was really glad he sent Natalie home too. I just don't think she was there for the right reasons at all...definitely not ready for a child! I still really like Melissa from Dallas. I think she is such a doll, and seems like a really sweet girl! I can't wait until next week so that we can see what happens and who goes home next! Who do you think it will be?

We had our last Baby Shower last Saturday, and it was great! Some of our softball friends had it for us and the guys came and played poker while the girls did the shower thing. It was a lot of fun...like always! Before the shower we only had a little bit of bath stuff (baby lotion, baby wash, etc.) and I think somehow they all knew it. Almost everyone there brought us that sort of thing which was perfect! Gage will be a clean baby for sure!!

Mom and I went to Little Rock and Conway to finish getting the things off the registry that were left, but there wasn't a whole lot left! We did finally get the Pack N Play to put in our room for the first few weeks and take to the softball games after that! My Nana bought it for us and we are so happy we finally have it here and all ready for the little man! I think we are as ready as we are going to be, so all we need is for him to get here! Gosh...he's so spoiled rotten already! Thank You so much to everyone that has thought about him and done your part in spoiling him! He will be here soon and I can't wait for everyone to meet him!

Last but not least...Michael and I have a new nephew as of last week, and I am so in love with him already! His name is Colson, and he is such a good baby already! I just know that him and Gage are going to be into lots of trouble together, and I'm looking so forward to it! This is Colson and Uncle Michael the day he was born! Aren't they sweet! Michael is going to be such a good Daddy!!! By the way...he was born with a little black eye, but it is already healed up! I promise we didn't beat him...I think he is trying to get a headstart on being tougher that Gage ;)

Baby Showers!

This weekend was a really good one for us! We had 2 GREAT baby showers and got lots of needed things for Gage! He is going to be one spoiled little guy...that's for sure! Saturday the girls from work had us a Brunch/Shower! We had the exact same thing for our wedding, and they were both GREAT! The food was absolutely awesome! Here is a picture of my Mom and I last year and one from this year! I think it is so funny how different we both look!

Here are a few more from Saturday!

These are some of my Best Friends! Charity, Jodie, and Lindsey! Love you girls!

Sunday my family had us a shower at my house. Some of my family hadn't been able to come by and visit since we moved in the new house, so this was the perfect chance! We had a really great turn out...about 40 people or so! Gage is so Blessed! Here are a few pics from Sunday!

I have some pics to post of some of our gifts, but I'll have to post them tomorrow! See you then!

The Bachelor...week 2!

So, what did you think? I'm not sure if I was dreaming or not, but I really thought that Deanna was coming back this week, and I'm pretty sure I didn't see her! Wonder what the deal with that was? I didn't even see her in next weeks previews? I suppose that is a good thing though, because I wasn't too sure about her coming back anyway. I really thought he did a good job picking the girls this week though...all except one! I won't say her name, but I'll say it starts with an "E". I'll bet everyone knows who I'm talking about...can you say DRAMA!!! I already have my favorite picked out, and I'm curious to see how long she stays. Usually the one I have picked doesn't last long ;) Can't wait to see what next week holds!!!

The Bachelor...a day late!

My favorite show started last night, and I am so pumped! The Bachelor is going to be so good this season...I hope! I get so excited every Monday night when it is on because I just can't wait to see what happens! Am I the only one?

It seemed like there weren't as many "good girls" on there this season, but that will just make it more interesting I think! I just don't know about Deanna coming back...I wish she would stay away! I'm really not a big fan of her! Hopefully he will find him someone and live happily ever after! What did you think about the show?

31 Weeks!

It is hard to believe that I only have less than 9 weeks left, but believe it! We are starting to have Baby Showers, and I am thrilled! I can't wait to get all the things we will need for Gage so that we'll be ready for him. As of now, I still feel very unprepared. Mom and I went shopping Saturday and got me some new outfits for the showers, so maybe I will feel a little bit better about myself. As you can tell, I have started to swell a little from standing on my feet all day, so my clothes aren't exactly comfortable anymore. I am starting to work half days from now until he gets here so that maybe I can make it the whole way...or atleast 37 weeks of the way! Those 10-12 hour days are starting to get the best of me! I'm just happy he is healthy and doing well! Anyway...here we are at 31 weeks!

What a busy year!!

As you probably already know 2008 was a crazy year for us...but a great one! We have made so many changes-for the better of course-and we are loving every minute! I thought I would share a few of our 2008 hilights!

Michael and I got married on May 17th! This is one of my very favorite pictures from that special day!

We started building our new home in December of 2007 and we finally finished in June of 2008! This isn't a great pic, but the only one I can find!

On July 3rd, we found out that we would soon be a family of 3! Michael and I couldn't have been more shocked and excited all at one time! For some reason I never took a picture of this :(

We started the dreaded "moving day" on July 4th...I'm wasn't much help as you can imagine! I was now carrying precious cargo!

Throughout the Summer Michael played LOTS of softball, and we made many trips out of town! Softball is his passion, and I'm learning to love it a little more than I did at first! As a matter of fact...I'm really starting to look forward to the new season! To all of our softball buddies...we can't wait to see you! Here we are at one of the tournaments!

On October 8th we found out the we were expecting a Baby Boy...Andrew Gage Williams! I have been in love ever since, and can't imagine what life will be like once he finally gets here! It seems like only yesterday the test said "yes", but at the same time it seems like years ago. It is so strange how time can fly by one day and creep by the next! We only have 9 weeks to go before he gets here, and we are so anxious!

2009 is going to be another GREAT year for us, I just know it! I hope everyone had a wonderful 2008, and I can't wait to see what everyone has in store!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
