More Traditions...

In my last post, I wrote about the traditions that I have and have had with my family. Every once in a while I start reminiscing on my childhood days and I can't help but think about all the traditions we are going to start with Gage. I am so excited to be opening a new phase in life with him and my very own little family! This will be our very first Christmas as a family of 3 and I'm so very thankful! At this time last year I was about 7 months pregnant with Gage. When we went to my Mom's to open gifts, I realized that from now on Gage would be the "golden child" and the tree would now be surrounded with things that he "needs". Who am I kidding? The child "needs" nothing! However, I am more than ok with Gage being the golden (grand)child! As a matter of fact, I would have it no other way! Anyway, the first 3 things I opened were Hallmark Christmas ornaments for Gage. I had no idea, but MeMe decided that every Christmas she was going to buy him ornaments to hang on next years tree. When we have enough to fill up his own tree, we are going to do so. For now, they are on the big tree! I think all of these ornaments are so cute and they mean so much to me! I'm looking forward to seeing what MeMe has in store for this year!If any of you have Traditions that you do every year, I would love to hear about them! I'm always looking for new ideas!

Merry Christmas...

Sorry it is so late, but I just wasn't able to tell everyone until now. I hope everyone had as good a Christmas as we did! We were exremely busy, but it was great! For some reason I didn't get many pictures this year, so I don't really have any to post...I guess I just wasn't feeling up to it! Gage racked up on Christmas gifts this year, and I will try to post those pics soon. I can't imagine what the poor child is going to do about getting any attention ;) He's pretty much spoiled rotten already! Thank You to everyone who thought of him and we hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!!!

29 Weeks...

Here I am at the 29 week mark...I have almost made it 3/4 of the way!!!! It seems like it was just yesterday that we found out we were pregnant, but time is starting to slow WAY DOWN!!! Work has been hectic because of the Holidays, so being pregnant is really starting to wear on me. Hopefully when New Years is over things will be a little easier....not that I'm complaining!

MeMe bought Gage's "Coming Home" outfit the other day, and it is absolutely precious! It looks really big in the pic, but it is actually so tiny! I just can't imagine how sweet he will be in it! It is getting so close to time for him to get here and I'm starting to get extremely anxious! I can imagine that these last 10 weeks are going to be really tough, but it will be time for him before we know it! Thanks MeMe!!!

I finally have all the Christmas shopping done...Thank Goodness! Now I'm just waiting Chrismas to get here! This is by far my favorite time of the year! Michael wrapped my gifts and put them under the tree a few days ago, and I have been begging to open "just one"! He just laughs and says no! I just can't wait for Christmas Day!!!! If I don't have time to post between now and then...MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE!!!!!

I've been tagged!!!

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?
Hmmm...not really a huge fan of either, but if I had to choose...Hot Chocolate!

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
When I was really little, Santa just sat the gifts under the tree, but as I got older they were wrapped! I'm sure Gage's gifts will be the same!

3. Colored lights on house/tree or white lights?
White lights for sure!

4. Do you hang mistletoe?
No...I would if I had some though!

5. When do you put your decorations up?
Usually I put the tree up the day after Thanksgiving, but this year I was a little late. Maybe I'll do better next year!

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?
7 layer salad...my Aunt makes it for every Holiday, and I LOVE IT!!!

7. Favorite holiday memory as a child?
I remember having so many places to go every Christmas and it was so much fun to me! It seemed like the gifts were never ending for everyone! The older I get the harder it is to enjoy all the Hustle and Bustle, but I still love it!

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
What do you mean...I still believe! If you don't believe, you don't recieve!!

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
Yep...I have Christmas Eve every year with my Mom's side of the family! For the last couple of years we have had Christmas at our house, and I love having all the family here!

10. How do you decorate your tree?
Red, Silver, and Turquoise! Just like everything else in my house!

11. Snow! Love it or dread it?
I love it! Nothing better than being snowed in with my hubby!

12. Can you ice skate?
HA! No, I have a hard enough time walking!

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
Every gift is my favorite for a different reason!

14. What is the most important thing about the holidays for you?
I love family time, and I can't ever get enough of it! It is always so much fun visiting with everyone!

15. What is your favorite holiday dessert?
I'm not a huge dessert fan! Probably Banana Pudding!

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
I love them all!!

17. What tops your Christmas tree?
A huge Red Bow!

18. Which do you prefer-giving or receiving?
I love giving gifts! It always feels so good to give someone something they really wanted!

19. What is your favorite Christmas song?
Away in a Manger by Joe Nichols!

20. Candy Canes-yum or yuck?
Yum...I love 'em!

21. What do you want for Christmas?
I have had a really hard time with my Christmas List this year. It seems like everything that comes to mind is actually for Gage!

22. Do you attend an annual Christmas party?
We have one for work every year. This year we are going to some fancy steak house in Little Rock.

23. Do you dress up on Christmas or wear PJs?
I always dress up! I love having my picture made, so I make sure I'm not too slouchy!

24. Do you own a Santa hat?
Nope...can't say I do!

25. Who do you normally spend Christmas with?
Wow! This could take a while! To make a long story short, we all day Christmas Eve and Christmas Day trying to make all our stops so that all the family is taken care of! It usually takes the entire 2 days!!
