Halloween 2009

I'm not sure about you, but we had a blast this Halloween! I am usually not much on Halloween. I'm not big on dressing up, wearing silly make-up, or putting so much hairspray and bobby pins in my hair that it doesn't look normal for days. It just isn't my deal. But...

This year Gage dressed as the cutest lion you have ever seen! He was such a doll in his costume and didn't seem to mind it to much! It was pretty cool here once the sun went down, but as long as the sun was up the weather was perfect for us to take some outside pictures. I think I took about 300 pictures throughout the night...ha!

We didn't do any trick-or-treating this year because Gage is too young to know the difference, but we did take him to see all his Grandparents. He seemed to have fun for the most part and was worn out by the time we got finished.

I can't wait until next year when we can take him from house to house in the neighborhood! I know he will love it! I hope you had as much fun as we did!

Pumpkin Carving...

As I told you in my last post, Michael and I decided to tackle the job of carving our pumpkin we picked, tonight!

Here he is sitting in our yard with the scary thing! Isn't this a cute one?

BOO!!! Does my pumpkin scare you?

We had a great time carving our first pumpkin together for Gage's first Halloween! I look so forward to many more pumpkin carvings to come!

The Pumpkin Patch...

Despite all the rain we've had here over the past few weeks, today was a gorgeous fall day in Central Arkansas. The sun was shining and the weather was perfect for taking Gage on his first trip to the Pumpkin Patch. I have never been to one, so it was more excited than anyone else! They had tons of pumpkins already picked that you could buy, or you could go pick one. We sat Little Man down beside the ones that were already picked and got some cute fall pictures of him! He looks like a little "big boy" sitting there, huh?
We took a hay ride down to the patch and decided to pick our own! It was a really neat experience to see all the pumkins laying in the field waiting to be picked! This was the one we decided to bring home with us! Gage had so much fun playing in the field with it. People were looking at us like we were crazy for setting him down in the dirt, but he didn't mind!
Michael was probably SO embarrased for me to do this, but I asked someone to take a family picture for us! I thought it turned out pretty cute, except the fact that Gage started crying about the time we sat him on the pumpkin ;)
This is my favorite one from the day! See how much fun he was having? He loves being outside! I'm so glad we went, and I can't wait until next year when Gage can enjoy it more! We are going to do our best to carve this beauty tonight, so stay tuned for the results. Michael and I have never carved one so it could be quite funny ;)

Halloween...really?

Can you believe Halloween is in less than 8 weeks? We went shopping yesterday and got Gage's costume! Hopefully the weather will be on the cool side for Hallween this year so he won't be too hot! What do you think? I can't wait to see him in it! I just LOVE the hair on the Lions head!!

BTW...this is my 4th post for the day, so make sure you read them all :)

Halfway There!

Yay!!!! This week is my halfway mark of my pregnancy! I have been so blessed throughout the first 20 weeks, and I am keeping my fingers crossed that the next 20 go just as well. I have been feeling Baby Gage moving around quite a bit now, and I have to say, it is the neatest feeling ever. I had been telling Michael for a week or so every time I felt him kicking , and he could never feel anything, but he finally did the other night! I'm not sure, but I think he loved it!!

Mom and I went last Tuesday to register us at BABIES R US, and we had a lot of fun with it! I just never imagined there would be so many things I would need until I got there and started scanning things. I know there are probably lots of things that "Experienced Moms" could tell me that I need or don't need, so if any of you have any suggestions, that would be great! You always hear people saying "you need this" or "you don't need this", but for some reason I can never remember what they are when the time comes. I would LOVE any "new mom" advice I can get!!

Michael's Mom and Grandma went with me on Friday to BABIES R US to order our crib and dresser, and I can't wait to get them! Michael's Mom bought us the crib, and my Mom bought us the dresser. It means so much that our parents are being so much help to us! We are very blessed to have all of them! Gage is going to be so lucky to have such a huge family to love him! I will post pics as soon as we get everything put together...I can't wait!!

Last night we went to our annual Halloween Party that some friends of ours gets together, and it seemed to be bigger than ever. It is always a lot of fun to see all the costumes people put together, and sometimes I am in shock that they would actually wear them in public! I don't have many pictures of the costumes, but I did get a few of the family!

My Mom and I at the party!

Michael and I...my belly is getting bigger by the minute!

This is Michael and I with my Stepbrother Steven, and his girlfriend Sissy! The guys NEVER keep their eyes open for pictures...UGH!!

I forgot to post a 19 week picture (I forgot to take one), but I will try to remember to take one this week and post it at some point. For now, maybe the Halloween pics will work! Talk to you soon!
