Wye Mountain...

Last Wednesday, Mom and I took Gage to Wye Mountain to see the Daffodil fields. I took Gage to daycare when he woke up, got some things done that I had on my list, and went back to pick him up. When I got there, he was asleep and Bridget said he had been asleep for about an hour. I thought surely this meant he would be in a great mood and would love the Daffodils. WRONG!!! He fussed the entire way there (about an hour) and wasn't much better when we got there :(
For some reason, he WOULD NOT put his hands or feet down. He held them up the entire time so that the grass wouldn't touch them.
He and MeMe picked a few flowers and blew some bubbles. He loves bubbles!!
Right before we left, Mom finally got a good picture of Gage and I. I'm so glad because the flowers were beautiful and I desperately wanted a picture to frame!
Thank You so much for taking us MeMe! We love you!!

Is it Springtime or what?

I'm not sure who agrees, but I've been a little confused with this weather. One day it is 70 degress and one day its 40. You can't predict what in the world to wear, you can't make plans on anything to do outside, and you certainly can't depend on the weather men to tell you what's really going on. I'm a little agrivated with it, to be honest. Hopefully the real Spring will be in full bloom soon!
Yesterday was one of those "Spring" days. The weather was beautiful, the birds were chirping, and Gage was beating the door down to go outside-not too hard though because I wanted to go out as well ;)
The swingset has proven to be a great investment. It gets used quite often and I can see it being played on a lot more when Little Man can walk and climb up it himself.
The slide is BY FAR his favorite. We put him on top and he grabs the sides and slides down. Daddy catches him at the end and we start over. I love watching him play with his Daddy. They are so sweet together!
Our dogs, on the other hand, have a love-hate relationship with Gage. Roper loves him...Tubby hates strongly dislikes him. He's never mean to him, he just doesn't get too close. Tubby isn't too terribly fond of having his ears pulled or being loved on. Roper on the other hand- I feel sure Gage could sit on top of her and she wouldn't budge. She is a lot better with him than we thought she would be.
See what I mean...Gage decided to give her a kiss, so she kissed back!
Hopefully these next few days will be sunny and warm. We have plans to go see the Daffodils tomorrow and we're praying Mr. Weatherman knows what he's talking about this time! I suppose we will find out soon enough!!

Whoa! It's been a while!

If it seems that I have abandoned by blog and I may never be coming back, I haven't and I will. I knew it had been a while, but I didn't realize how long it had been since I've been on here until I started looking through pictures on my camera. A lot has gone on in the past couple of weeks. Nothing serious or major, just stuff!

We went to Nana and Papaw's one afternoon and Gage rode around in the wagon with my grandpa's dog, Rowdy Rocky Rascal...I'm not really sure what his name is to be honest. Everyone calls him something different ;)
MeMe and I took Gage for his one year check-up and to get his shots (hence the bandaid on his arms). He weighed 26lbs 3 oz (89%) and he was 32.5 in (98%). He's still a big boy, in case you were wondering!
Gage has learned to throw kisses and does it quite often.
It is one of the cutest and sweetest things I've ever seen!
Daddy played softball a couple weekends ago. Gage seemed to enjoy the ballpark a little, but by the looks of this picture, he enjoyed it about as much as I do. HA!
We were within less than a mile of being blown away by a tornado one night and it left our entire town without electricity. Michael hooked up our generator and Lindsey brought her family down to enjoy our lights with us. There is nothing more agrivating than having no power with kids in the house!
Colson and Gage played well together and Hudson played with Michael.
There is something about him that kids love!
I got a new washer and dryer (and apparently a new helper)!!!!! Michael has enjoyed this the most I think. For some reason when you have to dry every load of clothes 3 times, it takes the desire to do laundry completely away. We should have invested in these years ago!!
And...last but certainly not least, Gage has a new front tooth! This makes #3!
I was beginning to think he was going to have to gum his food forever!
I'm not making any promises, but I'm going to attempt to do better at blogging this time.
We've been through this before, remember!

Gage's Invites...

I just sat down to read some blogs, and while reading through my own, I realized that I hadn't posted Gage's Birthday invites. I designed them and had them printed with good intentions of showing all of you after I sent them out. I have been working with Justi on some designs for her and I would love to do some for you as well! If you have anything you need an invite, thank you card, announcement, etc. for, just let me know! I'd love to help!!
I made Gage's invites front and back so that I could put his one year picture on them! I think they turned out super cute!!

Happy Birthday Gage!!

It is hard to believe it has been a year, but it's true! Last Saturday (yes, I know, I've procrastinated a bit), Gage turned ONE YEAR OLD! I spent the entire week planning so that everything would be just perfect, and I think it all turned out great! We had about 50 people there and Gage had a blast! I thought I'd share just a few pictures from the day!

I thought the cake was amazing and Gage agreed! He got more gifts than we will ever know what to do with. We appreciate each one of them so much!!
For his "Big" gift, Michael and I decided a few months ago that he needed a swing set. I always had one growing up and it was so much fun to play on. Both of my parents, my grandparents, and Michael's Mom all helped out with buying it for him and we had it set up just in time for his party. The weather was beautiful and perfect for the kids to play outside. Gage LOVES his swingset!
I figured the day would be pretty hard on me. I'm not normally one of those mothers that can't seem to grasp the idea of my baby growing up, but him turning one was really a little bittersweet. As much as I love watching him grow, it's hard knowing that he isn't a baby anymore. Much to my surprise, I never shed one tear and his party was so much fun!

Thank You so much to those of you that came! We had a blast and can't wait to do it again next year!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE MAN! MOMMY AND DADDY LOVE YOU!!!
