Naptime...

While Gage is napping, I decided to post some pictures I took of him today. He is growing so fast, and I never notice it until I take new pictures of him and compare them to old ones. It's crazy to see how much he changes everyday!

Here is Little Man taking his nap for the afternoon. Today is the first time he has laid on his boppy pillow...he LOVES it!!

I could just eat those fat little cheeks of his!

Nana bought this rabbit for Gage a few weeks ago at Cracker Barrel, and it is too cute! You can't tell in the picture but it sings the most precious little Easter song! I took a picture of Gage with the bunny a few weeks ago, but it accidently got deleted from my camera. You wouldn't believe how much he has grown :(

I know I am running a little behind, but I finally ordered Gage's birth announcements today! A fellow blogger designed them, and she did such a good job! You can visit her website here! I can't wait for them to come in so that I can get them all sent out! What do you think?

Time flies...

As bad as I hate to say it, my little man is already a month old. I can't believe how fast this past month has flown by. When I found out I was pregnant, I knew life was about to change, but I never imagined it would change this much. The past month has been the most challenging, yet rewarding time ever. When Gage was about a week old, we were having some trouble with his bottles and I called my mom almost in tears because I couldn't figure out what in the world we could do to fix Gage's gas issues. We talked for a little while and when I was letting her off the phone she said to me "Sis, just remember, everything with a baby is trial and error. You're doing a great job, and I am very proud of you". It meant so much to me for my mom to say that to me, and it turns out, she was exactly right. It seems like every time I think we have things going our way, something else happens and I'm sure it will be this way for the rest of our lives.

Before Gage was born, just like most men, Michael had never changed a diaper, never chaged a baby's clothes, never fed a baby, nothing! The first night Gage was born, Daddy had to be "broken in". He changed his first poopy diaper, and as it turned out, his first poopy clothes, and I'm not sure he has taken a break since. He is such a wonderful Daddy, and so sweet to Gage and I. We are so lucky to have him, and I thank God for him every day! We love you Daddy!!

Overall Gage has been a wonderful baby, and I am so thankful! He is such a blessing in our lives and I can't ever imagine life withough him! Mommy and Daddy love you Angel!!!

One more thing, if you have an iphone and a baby, you should definitly download "Baby Log" from the App Store. We have Gage on an eating schedule and I kept messing up on his feeding times, so I bought this app. It is wonderful! Check it out!!

Poor Baby Gage...

I thought we had slipped through the cracks, but apparently I was wrong. From the time Gage was born until about a week ago, he never cried, never fussed, just simply a happy baby. But...in the last few days things have certainly changed. I decided last night that I think Gage may be suffering from what we like...or don't like...to call Colic. What a freekin' nightmare! Every night around 6 or 6:30 he throws a terrible fit, throws his arms and legs, turns red in the face, screams bloody murder, and WILL NOT STOP! I feel so sorry for him, but there is just nothing I can do. So, today I called his Doctor and she decided to change his formula. Please cross your fingers this will work. If anyone has any suggestions on what to do, that would be great! Please pray that my little Angel gets better soon!

This is a tough one...

On Sunday night, I lost someone very dear to me, my Granny Lou. She has been very sick for a couple of years now, and on Sunday she went to Heaven to be with Papa. When I was born her and Papa babysat me during the day until my parents would get off work and come pick me up. When I was only a couple years old they decided Granny had spoiled me entirely too much and I should probably go to daycare with other children...I'm sure I was not just spoiled, I was ROTTEN! It seems like only yesterday I would spend the Summer with her and my cousin, Kyle. I'll never forget all the stories she would tell us or the many dinners she cooked us - I'm pretty sure we ate macaroni and cheese every day! Whatever we asked for, that's what we got! The three of us would sit at the kitchen table and color in our coloring books and she would tell us stories from what she would call "the old days". She would sit on her patio while we played in the yard and she when we'd get too far away, she would say "Now, you birds get back where I can see you". Telling this story always makes me laugh because as long as I can remember Granny couldn't see a thing. She wore the thickest bifocals you have ever seen, and still couldn't see. I'll never know how she did what she did! Kyle and I thought Granny was the smartest lady in the world and we worshiped her every move...we still do! Before she passed away, she met her Great Great Grandson, which is more than most people will ever experience. Although she was only able to meet Gage one time, it was obvious how much she loved him. That day was one of the best days of my life, and one I will NEVER forget. She was such a wonderful lady, and I can promise, there will never be another like her! Words cannot express how much I will miss her! I can't wait to see you again Granny Lou!

This is Granny, Kyle, Sunny and I on Christmas in 2007. The only picture of Granny Lou and her Grandchildren.

This was when I took Gage to meet her. Can't you see how much she loved him?

Granny, Gage, and I...I love this picture!

Long Lost Blogger...

I know I have been doing a terrible job blogging lately, but the answer is "No", I haven't quit! I have been thinking every day that I need to get on here and post, but as you know, Mommy time is scarce at the moment! Gage is still doing well, and he is certainly growing like crazy...We don't talk about that though. He has been getting a little more alert every day, and he loves to talk! He has discovered his voice this week, and he isn't the quiet little boy he once was! We had to take him back to the doctor on Monday to have his blood drawn and he had gained 1 whole pound since he was born. Needless to say, the child likes to eat! He has already grown out of his newborn clothes because his legs are so long, but they still hang on him everywhere else! I have a feeling he may be tall and skinny like his grandpas!

We went last Thursday to have family pictures made, but until then, here are some I took at home! I'm not the best photographer, but they will work until the professional ones come in. I cannot wait to see them!!

2 weeks old already?

It doesn't even sound right to say, but today is Gage's 2 week birthday! It seems like only yesterday we were checking in the hospital to bring the little man into this world! Really...it makes me cry!

Michael and I decided months ago that we were going to attempt to try the Babywise method for infants. This method is intended to help you get your baby on an eating/sleeping pattern...it works! Since the very first bottle we gave him at the hospital he has done very well with the scheduling. He eats every 3 hours for now, and we never hear a peep out of him between feedings! I don't know what we did to deserve such a wonderful baby, but we did something right! I have never seen a baby so content in my life!!

We are finally getting the "hang" of things around here. It seems like for the first few days, we didn't do anything but sit and stare at him and got absolutely nothing else accomplished. I still do LOTS of staring at him, just in between chores and things. It has certainly been life changing, but in the best way possible. I have only had him here 2 weeks, and I don't remember what life was like without him. I'm pretty sure I had no fun at all ;)

I have gone back to work a little this week, and it has gone ok. I still have some soreness in my back, so working definitly doesn't help, but I think my clients appreciate me being there so it makes it all worth it! Gage has been going to work with me everyday, and he does really well there. He gets held by lots of pretty women, so I think he kind of likes it!

This may be the sweetest thing I have ever seen!

Here he is!!!

Sorry it has taken me so long to finally post some pics of my little man! He is one week old today and things haven't slowed down since we came home. He is such a little angel, and the best baby ever! I think he has cried about 3 times since he got here, and I am hoping he stays so sweet! I don't have any idea what in the world Michael and I did without him, but life has definitely changed...for the better of course! I hope you enjoy the pictures, and I will try my best to post his birth story soon!

This is Gage right after he was born! He was absolutely perfect from the first second, and I am so thankful for that! God has once again performed a Miracle!

Here is Gage minutes after he arrived with Dr. Thibault...he was our hero that day!

This is my favorite picture of Daddy and Gage! As you can tell, Michael was smitten within seconds of meeting him!

This was the first picture that I saw of Gage before they got him cleaned up and brought him to me. It is Michaels favorite of all!

This is our little man in his first Razorback outfit...he is so cute I just want to squeeze him!

Gage's first shopping trip...MeMe took us to Target!

I don't know if you remember, but a few posts ago I told everyone about my Great Grandmother that was not doing well. I had so many fears that she would not make it to meet Gage...she did! She hadn't been able to get out of bed in months, and when we brought Gage to meet her, she sat straight up in her bed and held him forever. She just loved him! Gage is now a 5th generation!!!!

I hope everyone enjoys seeing his pictures as much as I enjoy having him here with me! He is such a blessing to us!!

Gage is here!

You heard me right...he finally made it! Gage Andrew Williams (notice the name change) was born on Friday, Febuary 27th at 7:04pm via c-section...birth story to come! He weighed 8 pounds 11 ounces and he was 21 1/2 inches long! He is absolutely the most perfect little thing you have ever seen in your life! I have only had him here just a few days, and I can't imagine life without him! As you can imagine we are still very busy, and trying to get settled in, so when things calm down, I will do my best to get all the details of our sweet little boys birthday!!

For some reason Blogger won't allow me to post pics, but as soon as I can I will!
