New Shoes!

Last Friday a good friend of mine, Slim AKA Lindsey, brought Gage a gift by the salon! They are the cutest little shoes you've ever seen! She was so sweet to think of us, and we are so lucky to have friends like her! Her little boy had a pair of Robeez and he wore them all of the time...I know Gage will too! Thanks Auntie Slim...hehe!!

My new found LOVE!

Never in my life have I ever been known as a "tightwad" as my mother would call it. As a matter of fact, I get myself into trouble quite a bit because I find something I want, and I HAVE TO HAVE IT and I get it! This would be the reason that my unborn son has more clothes than his Mommy or Daddy! I'm not good about thinking about things before I buy them, definitly an impulse buyer, and most of the time I have buyers remorse like you wouldn't believe! You'd think I would learn my lesson. Another thing I AM NOT, is a morning person. I don't go into work until 10 for a reason...because I would have zero clients. I'm typically pretty cranky in the mornings, and not fun to be around. Well, today was my second day to try the Walgreens Game, and I got lots of much needed items for only a little money. But to make it even better, I woke up at 7:30AM so that I could go to the store and get a Sunday paper to get the Walgreens ad and coupons out of it! I couldn't wait to see what the deals of the week would be. I even went to McDonalds and got my sweet little husband a surprise breakfast! Neither of us ever dreamed I would be up in time to get McDonalds breakfast! Anyway, back to Walgreens, these were my deals for the week!

(1) Venus Embrace Razor $3.49
(1) Comet Bathroom Cleaner $.59
(2) Excedrin Gelcaps $.49
(2) Right Guard Mens Deoderant $2.79
(2) Colgate Total Toothpaste $1.98
(1) Walgreens Antacid $2.99
(1) Tylenol Allergy $3.99
(1) Tylenol Sinus $3.99
(1) Tylenol Cold $4.99
I used a $3 RR from last week, several coupons, and recieved $11 in RR today. I spent $20.38 on everything you see! That is a total savings of $43.88!!! If nothing else, our medicine cabinet is stocked...ha!

Spoiled ALREADY!

As you can tell, Gage is already getting spoiled rotten and he isn't even here yet! It seems like someone is always getting him something! I guess I won't complain though...it has really been nice! Yesterday my Mom bought him the sweetest little Teddy Bear that says, "Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep, guide and guard me through the night, and wake me with the mornings light". It is the absolute sweetest thing ever! Thanks again Meme! And today, a softball friend of ours brought him the biggest piggy bank I have ever seen, and to make it even better, it has money in it! Thanks so much Kelly and Greg Ryan...you two are so sweet!!! Here I am with both his new gifts!

We had our ultrasound today, and we got a tiny little glimpse of Gage! It wasn't intended to do a 4D today, but by accident, we did! My doctor has just recently got his machine to do the 4D's so, when he hit a wrong button, this is what we saw! Isn't he precious! I think he looks like his Daddy...what do you think?

24 down...16 to go!

Here I am at 24 weeks! The pregnancy has been going great, and Gage is a WILD CHILD! He has been moving a lot these past few weeks and he is for sure getting bigger! It seems like everyday I wake up bigger and bigger. I have my next doctors appt this Wednesday, so keep us in your prayers. Hopefully everything is still going well! I should get another ultrasound, and I can't wait to see how much different he looks! I sure hope he cooperates! I haven't done anything new in the nursery since the last post, but I am hoping to do a few things this week! The bare walls are starting to drive me nuts!!

I have been hearing, and seeing other bloggers talk about the Walgreens game, so I decided to give it a try this week. I didn't do as well as I had hoped, but not too bad for a first timer. I got everything you see here for about $30 and the cost before all my saving would have been close to $60 dollars. Maybe next time I'll be able to get some better deals!

Genesis Salon Grand Opening!!

Last week we finally moved into our new Salon, and we had the Grand Opening today! Genesis Salon has been in business in the same location for almost 10 years. My Mom has done nails there since the first day, and I came to work there about 2 years ago. I just love working with her...that is something not many people can say! If you are from around the Benton/Bryant area, you should come see me! I'm always looking for some new hair to do!! We also have a new massage therapist who they say is really good!

These are the girls I work with!! My Mom, Gaylen, Debbie, and Me! They say the camera adds a few pounds and I sure hope they are right...I'm growing a little faster than I thought!

Aren't we lucky!

I have an Aunt that works at the hospital, and right after we found out we were pregnant she brought us a huge case of diapers and a case of wipes. Since then, she has completely stocked our shelves with more diapers and wipes. We figure we will probably have enough to last us a pretty long time!!! Good news is...if we don't have enough, we can always get more! Thanks for the diapers Jenn!

About a month ago I bought Gage a diaper bag that I have been needing to have his name monogrammed on. Well, I finally did it, and it turned out great! I can't wait to use it. Michael hates it because he says it is way too girly, but I think it is really cute! What do you think?

Last but not least...I was reading another blog earlier and I saw that BABIES R US has a rewards program for frequent shoppers. Well, I happen to be a frequent shopper, so I signed up for REWARDS R US. For every $150 dollars you spend, they give you a $5 gift certificate. $5 doesn't sound like much, but when I entered my past reciept numbers I got $25 dollars back in "free money"! I can't wait until they come in so I can go on another shopping trip!

Deer Season Sadness!

I don't know how the rest of you feel, but I absolutely hate deer season. I dread the thought of it all year long, and when it gets here, I dread it even more. Everytime Michael leaves I cry my eyes out wishing he would just stay home for ONE weekend. God forbid him miss a day of hunting! This morning he left to go to the deerwoods to "set up camp", and of course...here come the tears! He can't hunt this weekend because it is Youth Hunt, so why does he even feel the need to go? Who knows! I would do anything to be one of those women who loves to be home alone, but I'm just NOT! As a matter of fact...I hate it!! My mom keeps telling me that one of these days I will love it when he leaves, but it for the last 3 deer seasons, it has been terrible! I'm just a complete bawlbag!! HA!! I will be so happy when deer season is finally over!!!!
