#3 for Today!

It seems like I can't get enough blogging today! Michael just got home and I had him take my 17 week pic, so here it is!!!

Our New Friend!!

Most of my family lives on a farm, and on occasion, a new baby will be born. My aunt happens to love anything miniature, and this is one of her new additions...Fairboy! He was born the week of the Saline County Fair, so he was named that as a reminder! He is the sweetest little donkey you have ever seen, and SOOO cute! As soon as I walked in the barn, he ran straight to me wanting to be loved on! I was suprised at how friendly he is to only be 2 weeks old!! Isn't he PRECIOUS!!!

This is Fairboy with his Momma!

And here he is giving me kisses!!

Our New House!!!

I realize this is probably a little late, since we moved in our house 3 months ago, but I am just now getting around to it! Everyone has been asking me to post pics of the new house, so here they are. We still have some work to do on the outside, but I will get to those shortly!

This is the bedroom minus the Bedroom Furniture we are in desperate need of. When we were building the house, I had the bright idea to paint the bedroom BLACK, and I am so glad I did! I looks AWESOME!!!

The Master Bathroom...

The Kitchen...my favorite room in the house! The backsplash is one of the things Michael and I decided to tackle ourselves, and it turned out perfectly!!!

Dining Room...

And last but not least...the living room!!!

We haven't started on the nursery yet, but I am getting so anxious to get it going! I will post pics as soon as we start!!!

In 3 more weeks, we will be halfway there!!

This week has definitely been a slow one! We haven't had too much to do this week...Thank Goodness...so we have just been doing some relaxing! I have been needing some down time for a while now, just been too busy to get it!

My grandparents go camping every Summer until about November, so Michael and I went down to visit them last night. Wouldn't it be nice to go to the lake and camp 3 or 4 months out of every year? They are so funny with all their friends, you would think they are 16 again. They get up in the mornings and cook, then go fishing for a while, eat lunch, cook dinner, and sit around the campfire and tell stories until they get ready for bed. They wake up the next day and start again! So funny! Maybe one day we will be able to do that!

About the baby...everything is still going really well! We went to the doctor on Tuesday, and he said everything looks great! He did a small ultrasound to check for the heartbeat, and as soon as he put the monitor on my belly, the baby jumped! It was really cute! I asked him if he could tell if what we are having, but he said he couldn't. Honestly, I think he just forgot his little heart monitor thing, and didn't have time to do the full ultrasound. He only did it for long enough to see a heartbeat, and he was done! Oh well, we have one more week until we go to Babyviews to find out! I am praying the baby cooperates for that one at least! I am just dying to know! There are so many cute little baby things calling my name!

I guess I will go for now, but I will be back soon to post 17 week pics! My belly seems to be growing more everyday, and I'm sure it won't be slowing down anytime soon!!

16 Weeks!

Well, I have made it to the 4 month mark without any complaints! I am finally starting to show (as you can see), and I still feel great! I can still wear my normal clothes, so I'm pretty excited about that too! We have our next appt with the doctor next Tuesday and I am praying that everything goes well as usual.

Mom bought the baby "her" first pair of cowboy boots today (assuming it is a girl), and they are precious! I just can't wait for October 6th to find out for sure! I suppose if we have a boy, we will have lots of shopping to do! I have only bought a couple little boy outfits so far---OOPS!!! We haven't bought a lot, but every once in a while I see something I can't live without and I have to have it! I guess we if we have a boy, we will have several little girl baby gifts to give away! HA!

Michael took me out on a date to Gaucho's tonight and the food was AWESOME! I think I could eat my weight in the Grilled Pineapple and Parmesan Chicken! If you haven't been there, you have to go! It is WONDERFUL!!! After dinner, we went to Babies R Us and browsed around for a while. I think the ever growing belly is finally getting Michael in the mood to look for baby stuff! This is new to him because he hates to shop!

Talk to you soon!

15 Weeks!

This week has been pretty eventful for us. As some of you may know, we just recently built a new house and are now living in it. The house where we lived before has been on the market to sell, and we haven't had much luck, so we decided to do a few little "pick-me-ups" on it. My mom and I, along with a couple other friends, spent the majority of the weekend painting, and we still have quite a bit more to go. Hopefully the house will sell soon and it will be out of our hair! If you know of anyone in the market for a new house, let me know. Interest rates are GREAT right now! Perfect time to buy!

As for the pregnancy, everything is still going great! Well, all except this nagging headache that won't go away. I think it is time that I have my eyes checked...couldn't hurt! I woke up this morning, and I noticed that suddenly, I have a little baby belly! I'm pretty excited about that because now maybe I will start to look preggo instead of just plain fatto! We have an appt set for Oct.6 to find out what we are having! I am really wanting a girl, but just praying it is healthy no matter what! I'll try my best to post some pics soon! I'm getting a new haircut tomorrow, so maybe that'll be the day!

14 Weeks and Weird Cravings!

Since the day I found out I was pregnant, everyone has been asking the same ole' question...Any weird cravings? Up until this week, my answer every time has been, "Nope, not yet!" Well, from now on, I'll have a new answer! Everynight for the past week the usual conversation comes up about dinner, and the "I don't know, what do you want" is thrown out there. Nothing ever sounds good, there is never anything good to cook, just a huge mess every time we eat. All week I have been saying "How 'bout Subway?", and all week I have been shut down by "I hate Subway"! Just a neverending battle. Yesterday I was by myself, and I finally got what I have been wanting so bad...Subway! And by the way, it was WAY better than I thought it would be. Lastnight we went to a rodeo with some friends, and on the way home we stopped again, and today for lunch...again! I just can't get enough! Atleast it isn't something terribly fattening, huh?

On another note, a few posts back, I asked if any of the "Old Wives Tales" about finding out what you are having really worked. I never got any answers, but a friend of mine and I found out around the same time about our pregnancy. She is about 4 weeks ahead of me, but we both had lots of time before we could find out. I had been told, that if you take a needle and thread and hold it still over your belly, you could tell what you are having. If the needle swings back and forth its a boy, and if it swings in a circle its a girl! Well, both of our mothers did this test on us and for both of them, the outcome was the same. Back and forth for her, and in a circle for me! We never really knew if the test was true, and we still don't. But, Paige went to the doctor last week, and found out that she is having a BOY!!! Does this mean I'm really having a girl? I'm keeping my fingers crossed everyday for the next 4 weeks until I find out. I just can't hardly wait! I'll be getting back with you in a few weeks on the results!! Talk to you soon!

13 Weeks!

This week hasn't been the best of weeks for us! Michael and I have both had the stomach virus, and I have now had my first case of the dreaded "Heartburn". Up to this point I have honestly been thinking this pregnancy would be a breeze. Michael played softball all day on Saturday, so therefore, I ate ballpark food! On a normal basis I love most concession food, but even though the "stomach bug" has flown the coup, I still don't have much of an appetite. So I thought, I'll just eat a grilled chicken sandwich...bad idea! I have never experienced heartburn before, but it didn't take me long to realize how terrible it really is. Turns out the chicken sandwiches taste so good because they were marinated in some kind of yummy spices that don't set well on a weak stomach. Anyway, Michael got me a bottle of milk and it all went away...I survived! About the softball tournament...we are National Champions! Yay Tri-C!!!! We are all done for this year, but it won't be long before season starts again! Until then, I think we can relax!
